A Word From John K. Long M.D., F.A.C.S.

As a plastic surgeon, my role is to use my skills, training, and over 25 years of experience in cosmetic surgery in the Houston area to assist you in achieving your goals. These goals may involve a change of appearance, the correction of a birth defect, the restoration of an injured area, the removal of a threatening cancer or any number of problems you may desire to correct.

As a patient, your responsibility is to communicate - as fully and as accurately as you can - about your area of interest, your goals, and the solutions you desire for a successful outcome. The more information we can discuss regarding your desires and what your expectations may be, the better I will be able to treat the problem correctly and deliver the results you wish as accurately as you expect.

My responsibility as your doctor is to listen to you, interpret your needs, and discuss the solutions that are best for you. We will discuss both the positive and the negative elements of the goals you desire, as well as the possible complications and the recovery you could expect after your cosmetic surgery procedure or treatment at our practice in Houston.
